Heres a great one. No wait. Its using a synth that no one would ever have in their studio unless as a doorstop.
![]() Today I have been mostly been making complementary patches for a groove Bass patch - LFO modulates AmpEnv Release time. Complementary patch(es) Same LFO with phase flipped modulates anything you fancy to fill in the space Pretty simple stuff but find the right combination and we have ourselves a groove. Shouldnt this thread be part of the Synthesis Tips and Techniques sticky. LFO and Filter Cutoff I tend to use my envelopes release to create and release tension. OP this is a lovely idea but it becomes a little difficult to implement unless everyone has PDF patch sheets for each of the synths theyre talking about. Could be great for some synths.if people have patch sheets.and can PDF them and send them to the thread. Reading your post I realised this is probably the most entertaining part of it all for me. Im forever taking my racks apart and rearranging the gear in there and I just sit for hours contemplating how I want everything hooked up and how its a million times better than the way I did it last time. Well I was just thinking in terms of small scale things here. Roland M-Dc1 Patch List How To Build SoundsThere actually is a synth cookbook you can buy (I have it), where it tells you how to build sounds using a basic subtractive synth. Perhaps people could say this. Hey.try this out with a subtractive synth. ![]() Some simple layering ideas 1. Mw to cutoff, inverted across multiple synths (so up is on or off, randomly) 3. Synth string to reverb in Reverb send out to filter in on synth 2 to mixer B. Acid squelch, lfo sin 1 to volume, lfo sin 2 to pan, carefully.pan modulation on headphones can be very irritating(to me anyway) 3. Wouldnt you be in the same ball park if you were to follow the guide on another synth though. Im bored so im going to work on a cookbook template on photoshop what people can fill in on paint:p. Heres a great one. No wait. Its using a synth that no one would ever have in their studio unless as a doorstop.
